Chris DeCotiis is the Founder, CEO & President of DeCotiis Strategies, a full-service strategic consulting firm specializing in political consulting, government relations, and business development. He leads the firm’s growth and client work with a deep understanding of how power, influence, and relationships shape outcomes across New Jersey and beyond.

DeCotiis Strategies works with elected officials, businesses, and organizations across real estate, health care, education, technology, finance, and the nonprofit sector. The firm delivers customized services in campaign strategy, public affairs, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and event planning — all designed to help clients navigate complex challenges, build influence, and achieve their goals. Whether managing competitive political campaigns or building coalitions around public policy, DeCotiis Strategies brings a campaign-style urgency and precision to every engagement.

Chris launched the firm after building a track record of success in New Jersey’s political and business circles. He began his career at a top public affairs firm, then joined Choose New Jersey, the state’s leading economic development organization, where he led board engagement and fundraising efforts — including securing support for international trade missions and domestic trade shows. In addition to managing donor relations, he played a direct role in promoting New Jersey as a business destination, traveling with Governor Phil Murphy on his longest international economic mission to East Asia and contributing to initiatives in other key international markets. He also spent time at CGI, one of the world’s largest IT consulting firms, where he focused on business strategy and government relations for the public sector.

As the youngest son of Joe DeCotiis, Co-Managing Partner of the political powerhouse law firm DeCotiis, FitzPatrick, Cole & Giblin LLP, Chris is continuing a family legacy of political influence in New Jersey. The DeCotiis family has played a central role in state and local politics for decades — helping elect candidates, advise governors, and build lasting relationships at every level of government. With DeCotiis Strategies, Chris is writing the next chapter — bringing modern energy, hands-on experience, and strategic insight to every campaign and client engagement.
